Have You Heard of Trekaroo?

In 2013, I fell in love with a website known as Trekaroo. The site was founded by the travel-loving Pang family when they discovered that being on-the-move with kids is entirely different from childless travel.

They created the site hoping to bring new insights and help to families who love to get up and go, and also to those who would love to "go" if they could just find an easier way to do it.

The website is filled with fun reviews from parents who have actually "been there & done that", and they give their honest opinions about what it is like to be at any given activity, hotel, or restaurant with kids-in-tow.

Is Traveling With Kids Really All That Different?

Honestly, yes! There are some places that you just don't want to take children, and you usually don't realize it until after you get there. Like a restaurant with swears on the menu... or that hotel with all the "Do Not Touch" signs in the lobby... or the artsy theater show that ends up having clowns and nudity.

Trekaroo's website makes sure that if you regret taking your child somewhere, you can share your experience so that other parents can avoid the same mistakes, or at the very least they can come prepared!

Trekaroo isn't just for the negative reviews though!

It is also a great outlet to express which venues are awesome for kids. And, if you're traveling in a particular area and want to find something fun to do, you can search the website and see what's available and even about how much it will cost you.

Additionally, they have a blog, a forum for asking & answering questions, contests & giveaways, hotel bookings, tips and more.

Bonus for active members?!?

To top it all off, they provide opportunities for their most influential and active members, called Superoos, to travel to different destinations and report back on their findings! As of now, I've received Superoo status for 2013, 2014, and 2015. Let me tell you: it is a blast!

Trekaroo Superoo 2014 and 2015

This has quickly become one of my favorite go-to websites. I love to check it before I leave the house to see if anything is going on in our area, and now I write reviews whenever we come home from a family activity. I have never had so much fun writing about kid-friendly (or sometimes not-so-kid-friendly) experiences. I even get to upload cutesy pics of my kiddos having fun. (And since I'm usually pretty camera-happy, that all works out great for me!)

If you have never heard of Trekaroo, you should definitely check it out. Who knows, one day you might make Superoo status!
