How cool is this DIY kids' fort kit?

When I was younger, I had a little kit that made a tent out of some plastic tubes. It was super-tiny and made for a cramped camping experience, and the plastic cover on top of it eventually ripped apart like a potato chip bag - but it was still my favorite 'toy' for years.

Even now (over a decade later) my little brothers & sisters still put that thing together and throw a blanket over the top. It has been our castle, our space-ship, a favorite reading spot, and so much more. I thought it was one of the coolest things my parents had ever bought for us.

Then I saw this:

Fort Magic Kits

My blogging friend A Lucky Ladybug got to review this kit from For Magic, and all I could think was: "Whoa. Kids today have no idea how good they have it!"

Gone are the old plastic covers - instead you can use whatever fabric you want and design any kind of fort you want! You could make a pirate ship, a castle, a race-car, space-ship... just about anything you could imagine. There are even curved pieces for making windows! How doggone awesome is that?!

Cool Kids Toys

I could go on and on about all the neat features and all the reasons that I'm planning on snagging one for my son's birthday, but it's probably just easier if you check out my friend's review of it here! (She took some great pics of her little guy enjoying it!)

Kids today. They have it so awesome.
