Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this Policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and disclose and make use of personal information.

The following outlines our privacy policy:

  • Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected.
  • We will collect and use personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes specified by us and for other compatible purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.
  • We will only retain personal information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes. We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned.
  • Personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used, and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
  • We will make readily available to our followers and clients the information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.

This next part looks like a bunch of scary legalese, but in a nutshell it tells you that we have turned on Google Analytics so that we know a bit more about our readers. Most sites do this, and the information collected is very generic and anonymous. It tells us mostly what visitors to our site like to read about the most, and the general demographic info for our readers. Basically, it tells us whether we should be writing more of some articles, and less of others.

Google knows that privacy is a BIG issue in this day and age though, so they require that any site using their analytics system is upfront about it. That way, you know exactly what is collected, and also have the option to opt out of Google Analytics completely.

As far as our use of this anonymous information goes, other than using it to decide what to write about next, or deciding whether or not a product might appeal to the general age range that pops up on our site, we don't do anything else with the information. Even with the personal info we receive to facilitate giveaways or custom designs, we would never use that information for anything other than the original intent. We take pride in being a simple business with integrity, and wouldn't tarnish that for anything!

______________________________________________________________

We currently have enabled an advanced version of Google Analytics that enables Google to collect data about our website's traffic via Google Advertising Cookies and anonymous identifiers in addition to the data collected on the standard version of Google Analytics.

These advanced Google Analytics Advertising Features include:

  • Remarketing with Google Analytics
  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting
  • DoubleClick Platform integrations
  • Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting

We do not and will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information unless we have robust notice of, and the user's prior affirmative consent to, that merger.

At this time, our site solely uses this information to report anonymous demographics information to prospective clients. Our site and third-party vendors use first-party cookies (such as Google Analytics cookies) or other first-party identifiers, and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together.

You can opt-out of the Google Analytics Advertising Features being used on this site by clicking HERE to find Google Analytics' currently available opt-outs.
